Every person on the planet has a country, which he considers his Motherland. As far as I am concerned a Great Russia is such a place for me.
Love for the Motherland cannot appear suddenly, only because someone ordered. This feeling grows and becomes stronger throughout the whole life. The cradle of this love is in respect, love for the place where you were born, grew up, to your native home and people who brought you up.
Since my childhood my parents have tried to instill me love to my country and patriotism. Firstly, they read me Russian folk tales, legends and epics. Then they began to tell me stories about my great country that has suffered a lot of troubles, but nevertheless survived. And I'm proud of it.
My country is the largest one in the world. It takes several time zones and has everything - from such places where no man has ever set foot on land to large cities, where millions of people live. In Russia, there are endless fields, fast flowing rivers, deep forests and majestic mountains. Moreover, there are underground subway, tall skyscrapers, many museums, huge factories producing everything you need in this vast country.
Russia is famous for its huge number of great scientists, such as Mikhail Lomonosov, who opened the first University in Russia, Dmitry Mendeleyev, who created the table of chemical elements, Lev Landau, who made several important discoveries in physics, Nikolay Lobachevsky and Sofia Kovalevskaya who committed significant discoveries in mathematics and a lot others. Besides, I should mention Yuri Gagarin, who became the first man, who flew into space, and glorified his Motherland - Russia all over the world. But now, there are still scientific discoveries, art is still being developed, new corners of my motherland are being mastered and people are devoted to their beloved profession.
Each citizen should know and respect the laws of his country, as well as understand the necessity of the knowledge of his native country's history. King Peter I was the builder of Russian state. Along with him the greatness and the recognition of the country as a powerful state came to Europe. At present Russia is the largest country in the world, whose opinion is listened to and its friendship is highly valued.
Thanks to our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who won the Great World War against fascism, our society lives and develops in modern world today. I, like all young people, try to be the follower of the ideas of my ancestors. Younger generation is required to strengthen and develop their own state, and I, as a citizen of Russia, must take direct part in it.
Our parents have created favorable conditions for us to study, develop, and for our further life. Each of us, and I am in particular, firstly must get education, a profession, and then try to do something for others and for our country. Of course, you cannot immediately solve some global problems. But you can try to do anything to benefit your country. Young generation is responsible for the future of Russia.
The state has developed the Constitution and the code of laws for its citizens. It is necessary for the youth of the Russian Federation to study and to be able to use these documents in life. All citizens have the rights and obligations that must be met and kept.
The State is responsible for each person of the country, but citizens have the honorable duty of protecting their Motherland and do everything for its prosperity and development.
That is why now I do my best to study well, and then to enter the institute and after the graduation start working for the benefit of my Motherland.
I am proud of my country and my nationality, and I hope that one day Russia will be proud of me.
I love my home, nature, Russia, people - so I am a citizen of Russia.
If the heavenly host should beg me:
"Come to live in heaven above!"
I shall say: "Don't give me heaven
But the Russia that I love.
